You can swim in the pool, which has views of the village, and then  relax under an umbrella on the free sunbeds.

There are many places to visit near Patara.You can go from the village by the regular buses or by taxi,or there are travel companies in the village who will arrange everything.The most popular trips are:-

Saklikent Gorge is 18km long and 300m deep you can walk up the shallow ice cold river or ride  on rubber rings  downstream.   With fresh trout  at the    riverside restaurants it is a great day out just 20 mins drive from Patara.

Tlos is a nearby Lycian city with ornate tombs and an Ottoman castle with spectacular views.

Xanthos is on the way to saklikent and has temples theatres and mosaic floors.

If you like shopping visit Fethiye(about an hour by bus) where there is a large harbour with restaurants by the side.The biggest market takes place here on Tuesdays with hundreds of stalls.There are also markets in nearby Kas (Fridays) and Kalkan(Thursdays) where you can also go on boat trips to  Simena and the sunken city of Kekova.
